I just set up Plimus. For testing purposes, I bought my own product, to test the entire process, including the electronic download. The buyer (me) received an email from Plimus stating that the order must be reviewed and could take up to 12 hours.
Is this standard procedure? Ideally, I would like customers to receive their email with the download link immediately.

I just need an idea of how frequent this sort of thing is going to be. It makes terrible business sense for me to make a switch to this service if more than about 2% of my customers are going to experience delays in receiving download links, and follow-up phone calls.
I got the automated response from customer service, but I would like a little input from users.

Thank you for contacting Plimus.
The first few orders may be reviewed, depending on various discrepancies in the order details.
Please know that we shall only review a small portion of your orders that hold a high-risk potential of being fraud. This is done in order to protect your product from unnecessary chargebacks, enabling fraudsters to acquire your product/service free of charge.
The aim of our support team is to verify these orders as soon as possible, and this greatly depends on the order/contact details that the customers submit and their responsiveness to our contact attempts.
Customers can also check up on their orders and expedite the verification process via the Customer Self-Serve page:
