1. When I signed up for this forum I was asked for a username, my first name and last name, and it says on the signup page "Your name will be displayed on community pages", I expect that to be my first name and last name, not my username - my username is the one I use to log on here - not a good idea to show that!!!!
2. Also on the sign up page I'm asked for my country, I select United Kingdom. When I post a message my location is shown as GBR, that can only mean Great Britain. Great Britain != United Kingdom.
Besides, where in the list is Jersey, Guernsey (and other Channel Islands) and Isle of Man. None of these are in the UK or Great Britain - nor are they in the selectable list of countries.
3. Why do a few countries in the above list have their name in non-standard spelling or in non-English spelling e.g. Viet Nam (rather that Vietnam), Cote d'Ivoire (rhather than Ivory Coast), whay does Croatia also have it's name as Hrvatska but Finland does not have Suomi? Why do the Falkland Islands also have Malvinas?

Forum Set Up
Hi,
We'll have a look at the first point. As for the second two items -- the forum is based on a Drupal module and whilst I am sure we can revamp the items there are a load more important matters I want to focus attention on -- like the Search capability.
So point taken but I don't see us correcting those items just yet.

I'm sure that if you can write a search module for Drupal then you should donate it to the Drupal community, they will be astounded by such an innovation.

Oh no... I hope they don't compensate for the display of the login user ID by "upgrading" the discussions to use the expiring, alpha-numeric, mixed-case, non-dictionary, can't-possibly-remember-without-writing-them-down password restrictions! ;-)
