Hi,
When a monthly credit card subscription transaction fails, and the vendor logs in a clicks the "Try this Card Again" button, what does it do?
Does it try to charge the card immediately when the button is pressed?
Does it simply tell the system to try the card again in the next daily batch run?
I had a customer who had a transaction fail and said they updated their card's exp. date, but the notice from Plimus to me said "We did NOT try to charge this card again because we have tried to do so before but were unable to, and nothing has changed...". So, I looked at his account and it was still showing a billing problem. I clicked the "Try this Card Again" button and it changed to "Active" status. Does that mean it just charged the card successfully when I clicked the button, or is it just active pending another attempt now?
Thanks,
-- Vinnie
HI Vinnie - The system is set
HI Vinnie -
The system is set up so that it attempts to recharge the card if there are any errors and this is done by batch each evening. After a few failed attempts, emails are sent out notifying that we will no longer make these attempts until the information is checked and changed. Once this is done, and the "try this card again" is submitted, the system will then attempt the charge again in the evening batch that is run.
Please feel free to contact us for any further information at vendors@plimus.com in regards to this or any other information.
Best,
Pamela
