I'm setting up shop here, after several years of joining up, and moved to try Plimus to see if I can increase sales compared to another company providing similar services.
I'm finding the whole process clumsy, but I'm wading thru it. I have a few questions, if anyone can help.
1. It seems there's a huge delay (hours and hours) before changes are reflected when I test the buynow pages. That's causing me multiple day delays in getting things online. I this normal?
2. I have about 30 products, some marketed towards one market segment, and others towards other segments. If I place all the products on the same "store" the page is going to be huge. I'd really like to see some examples of really well organized "stores" hosted here, to get some ideas. With my other processor company, I could set up categories of items and that seemed a good solution.
3) Of course we're always looking for supplementary products to sell, and hope that people join to sell ours, but we're only able to sell products that appeal to professionals, executives and similar executives. And we figure we want people to sell our products who have websites targeted to those groups. Are there any here?
Most offers available seem to be at the rather low end market (eg. home business e-books)
Well, spent the last three days trying to get things started and online on Plimus and we won't even be partially live now until next week, which is a major disappointment.
Those delays in seeing pages updated are killing us. I'm almost tempted to try elsewhere.
Page Updating...
Are you sure your browser isn't showing cached pages?
If you're using IE, you can change it to never use cached information and always reload a page directly from the server every time your visit a page. I believe IE also has an option to manually delete the cache (or Temporary Internet FIles as they call it) from their Tools->Options page. You can also force a non-cache reload for the currently displayed page by pressing CTRL+F5.
If you're using Firefox, try selecting the Clear Recent History or Clear Private Data option from the Tools Menu, then reload the page. Or you can also use CTRL+F5 in FF as well to force a physical reload of the current page from the server instead of from the cache.

Yes, I'm pretty sure. I sent
Yes, I'm pretty sure. I sent in a ticket two days ago on the topic, and was told there was a server issue causing the delay. When I'm not seeing updated pages I always force a complete page reload.
Got another question: If I use the default buynow template, is it possible to add the adwords conversion code to the thank you page? I don't see any way to do it except to build a brand new custom template.
Anyone know?
(thanks for the response)
