New javascript?
Has some new javascript been inserted into all pages in the control panel? Page loading is now never finishing. Happens on all browsers.
And, while testing in Opera there is a problem in Opera with the vendor home page -
the setup to the right of the product totals is off the right-hand edge of the screen.
And, since when have the totals only been updated every hour? This used to be immediate.

trade-off?
I've noticed that the overview page loads a lot faster than it used to. It was probably a trade-off to use cached values for speed. Remembering how long it used to take (8-10s), I think it's a good trade.
btw, I'm using IE8 and I don't see the same problem with page loads not finishing.

yes, the page loading is fine now, I had to reboot so it must have been something at this end.
P.S. Why do we get a Save button, a Preview button and a maths question when initiating a thread, but when answering there is only a Preview (with a maths question), then not very obviously you have to go through the maths question again with the Save button? Weird.
Spam controls
Sorry -- missed answering your comment earlier.
We have the Capcha process on the comments as well as we have been getting so many annoying spam posts. The improved moderation software is finally due to be activated early next month, so hopefully we can relax some of these controls.
