How safe is Plimus for a seller? I looked through the basic support information and unless I missed it there doesn't seem to be much if any info on charge backs etc? Has anyone had any experience on just how "safe" Plimus is to use? Paypal is rampant with fraud for digital products (people using stolen paypal account details and credit cards) and I don't want to have the same experience with Plimus.

Not a single reply? I find that amazing. So am I to believe that no-one here has any problems with chargebacks?
How safe/secure is Plimus for taking CC payments?
I've never had any problems, just one chargeback I think in almost 2 years. I suppose my products aren't those likely to be targeted by fraudsters, I don't know what your "digital products" are and how likely they are to be targeted. I even allow free email addresses to be used, never been a problem. There has been the occasional few lines in the buy-now monitor page where you see the "credit-card refused" or whatever the text is, it's usually a customer mistake though and they either get the number correct or try a different card, usually successfully.
What do you sell? Is it likely to atract chargebacks?

I am looking at getting into eBooks etc. I had terrible experiences with Paypal. I mean utterly shocking that I didn't want to touch any payments coming from Paypal. Thank you for the reply, I will see how it goes.

I never had any chargeback problems with Paypal either. What are you selling? What's the address of your webpage?
Plimus Security
Derek from Plimus here. As a company we take security and anti-fraud measures very seriously.
This is a constant challenge with online fraud on the rise each day. Plimus has enabled millions of online transactions each year and the incidence of successful fraud to date is extremely low.
We routinely screen transactions but sometimes vendors feel that this can cause delays and cancellations if an order has to be manually reviewed.
It's all a case of careful balance. We cannot please everyone, but we have a good anti-fraud record because we have dedicated staff covering this area, and deploy strong anti-fraud tools.
Chargeback rates are closely related to the type of product being sold, the extent to which products live up to their marketing promise, and the extent to which a vendor adopts reasonable consumer-centric refund policies.
