Plimus at CeBIT - Day 3 Recap

Another fine day of CeBIT excitement! We're told that the show has actually decreased in attendance over the last few years from a high of a full million people in 1991, but by the crowds you'd never know it was anything but wildly oversubscribed.

As ever, we spoke to a wide range of merchants, service providers, and other interested parties, seeking not only to communicate the e-Commerce 3.0 vision, but also to learn about the emerging needs of the market. With this sort of invaluable direct input, we'll be able to build features, capabilities and solutions that meet our goal of meeting our clients' goals.

A very clear message was that the days of being able to put out a generic purchase page are long gone. Over the past couple of years, it's become customary to discuss the benefit of customizing the interface of the BuyNow page. In our own tests, we've seen as much as 100% conversion growth with a well-executed configuration of the purchasing experience. Now it's become an accepted article of faith across the market that configurability is an absolute must. While it's great to be able to show new friends the amazing array of very inventive BuyNow pages that Plimus clients already have in play, this also speaks to the absolute need for the Plimus Buy Anyware API™: with the flexibility this offers, there is now literally no limitation to the sophistication that can be added to any customer buying experience.

Looking forward to tomorrow, though we anticipate the business crowds thinning out a little and the consumer crowd taking over the corridors. It's always good to speak to the end customers who buy from our clients, because it is ultimately they who create the success in which we all share.
